Welcome to St John’s Anglican Church, a predominantly English speaking Christian community in Ghent, Belgium.
Our vibrant community comprises of people from all over the world and of many nationalities, races, languages, denominations and faith backgrounds. Together we strive to follow the way of Jesus.
We regularly come together for services held in English and Dutch at the beautiful church of the Old St Elizabeth Beguinage.

The Chaplaincy of St John’s Ghent is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Chaplaincy Safeguarding Officer (CSO). The Diocese of Europe’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA or PSO. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
