Our book for February is 'Everything is Tuberculosis’ by John Green.
All are welcome to join in an hour's discussion on Zoom, no matter how much of the book you have read.
In 2019, John Green met Henry, a young tuberculosis patient in Sierra Leone. They became fast friends. In the years since that first visit, Green has become a vocal and dynamic advocate for increased access to treatment and wider awareness of the healthcare inequities that allow this curable, treatable infectious disease to also be the deadliest, killing 1.5 million people every year.
In 'Everything is Tuberculosis', John tells Henry’s story, woven through with the scientific and social histories of how tuberculosis has shaped our world and how our choices will shape the future of tuberculosis.

Lent is a time for repentance and renewal. We pray that through this worship for Ash Wednesday, we can commit ourselves afresh to our Lord Jesus Christ, as we "deny ourselves, take up our Cross, and follow him."
Each Tuesday during Lent, all are invited to join in 20-30 minutes of prayer for the needs of the world, our community, and ourselves. We meet on Zoom at 8pm, directly after Evening Prayer (7.30pm).
Our Prayer Shawl Ministry group meets again in Hürtgenwald on Saturday 21 March from 10am to 4pm.
This powerful ecumenical ministry and spiritual practice reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace, as well as in celebration and joy.
Prayer shawl ministry groups can be found all over the world. They knit or crochet shawls to console those who are grieving, comfort those who are ill, and bring hope to those in despair. Shawls may also be made to celebrate life and its milestones.
Many blessings are prayed into every stitch.
