Anglican congregation in Stavanger

Welcome to the Anglican congregation in Stavanger.  We are a lively congregation from many countries and cultures.  We worship at 10.30 each Sunday, usually in the Domkirken og St Petri Menighetshus (Rektor Steens gate 7, 4010 Stavanger) or sometimes online.  We are part of the Anglican Chaplaincy in Norway; we also have close connections with the Church of Norway under the Porvoo Agreement as well as with other English-speaking churches locally.  Annually, we hold a Good Friday service and a 9 Lessons & Carol service, usually at St. Petri Church. We also collaborate with the other local English-speaking churches to provide a week-long Vacation Bible School program for children during the summer.

Safeguarding

The Anglican Chaplaincy in Norway is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Congregational Safeguarding Officer contactable at [email protected]. The Diocese in Europe’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our safeguarding officer. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
