Anglican congregation in Stavanger

Welcome to the Anglican congregation in Stavanger.  We are a small, but lively congregation from many countries and cultures.  We worship at 10.30 on the first four Sundays of each month. From 3rd August 2025, our main place of worship will be the Domkirke & St Petri menighetshus (parish hall): Rektor Steens gate 7, 4010 Stavanger, in Våland, a neighbourhood just outside the centre of Stavanger.

We are part of the Anglican Chaplaincy in Norway and also have close connections with the Church of Norway under the Porvoo Agreement as well as with other English-speaking churches locally.  Annually, we hold an ecumenical Good Friday service, and a 9 Lessons & Carol service, usually in Stavanger Cathedral, the Domkirke

Safeguarding

The Anglican Chaplaincy in Norway is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and the Chaplaincy has its own Safeguarding Officer contactable at [email protected]. The Diocese in Europe’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our safeguarding officer. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
