About Us

Hi! We are, as it says, the Anglican church (i.e. the Church of England)  in Trondheim. Our services are taken  from the Church of England liturgy and are  in English. Many of our members have English as their first language but others come because their grasp of Norwegian is not so good. We also have Norwegians who join us because we are in the cathedral but without some of the attendant ceremony that is a necessary part of cathedral worship. We normally  meet in the Chapter House but once a month we are  in the main body of the cathedral .On High Days and Holy Days we share our worship with our dear colleagues from the Church of Norway. Our signature attitude to worship is perhaps best summed up by our endeavor to worship with all our mind as well as our hearts, soul and strength - and we sing quite well too! We may be small but we are mighty - to misquote the Bard.

We are part of the Anglican Chaplaincy in Norway which has congregations in Oslo, Stavanger and Bergen. You are welcome to join us for worship. You do not have to be an Anglican to take bread and wine with us.  We are from many nations and many backgrounds, you are welcome to add yours to ours!
