St George's Church in Málaga is delighted to welcome our very own BIshop in Europe, Right Reverend Robert Innes, to come and lead our Confirmation Service, on either the 24th or 25th October (date/time TBA). 

Those who come forward for Confirmation become full members of the Church and can start to receive Holy Communion. So this quite a big step, similar in some ways to First Communion in the Roman Catholic Church, and it requires attendance at some preparation sessions beforehand. 

The central part of the serivce is the moment that the Bishop lays his hands on the head of each candidate and asks God’s Holy Spirit to give them the strength and commitment to live the Christian life.

Here in this Diocese in Europe, we are geographically widely spread and hence we get to see our Bishop only rarely. So we are delighted to welcome him here to offer confirmation to our candidates.
