Campestre Arts is a pop-up art exhibition that sells local art to raise money for the charity, Age in Spain. It is run by a committee of local artists and business people chaired by Marijke Cazemier, wife of Fr Hilary. For the past two years it has been open for a week at Casa Campestre in Fuente del Conde. But this year it be open for a whole month at the 8th-century moorish castle at Iznájar. The village of Iznájar was recently featured on the National Geographic's Viajes website.
The exhibition will be opened by Mayor of Iznájar, Lope Ruiz Lopez at 8.30pm on 2nd September. All members of the Salinas congregation are invited to attend.
The evening will be full of music and conversation, and an opportunity to peruse the artworks, meet the artists and make purchases. Tapas and drinks will be available. Proceeds from bar sales and a percentage of the art purchase price will go to the charity.
