We were delighted to welcome the Anglican Bishop in Europe, Rt Revd Robert Innes to lead a Confirmation Service at St George's Church on Saturday 25th October. 

Those who come forward for Confirmation become full members of the Church and can start to receive Holy Communion. So this step is similar to First Communion in the Roman Catholic Church. On this occasion, there were two candidates, Rachel from the Salinas congregation and Daniel from St George's.

The central part of the serivce was the moment that the Bishop laid his hands on the head of each candidate and asked God’s Holy Spirit to give them the strength and commitment to live God’s way for the rest of their lives. 

The Bishop was assisted in the service by Ven David Waller, Archdeacon of Italy, Malta and Gibraltar, as well as Fr Louis, Fr William and Mthr Doreen.
