About Us

We form part of the Anglican Parish of Nerja and Almuñécar. Our parish straddles the two Andalusian provinces of Malaga and Granada.

The Capilla de Nuestra Señora del Carmen is a chapel on the west of the town, looked after by a group of nuns. It is thanks to these nuns, and the Roman Catholic priest and his congregation, that the local Anglicans are able to meet here each Sunday for a service. After the service it is a short walk to the Hotel Chinasol on the Paseo de Cotobro where we meet up for a coffee.

The Parish supports two local charities: Caritas and the Sisters of the Good Samaritans. It also supports other charities such as Christian Aid,Water Aid, SAve the Children and the Anglican Diocese of Peru. In order to do this there are many fund-raising and social events, and we have a Charity Shop and Centre in Calle Malaga, Nerja.
The shop is open 10am – 1.30pm six days a week. Tel: 95 252 2460.

Sadly we have had to stop our Sunday 9.30 Eucharists here due to a decline in the number of people attending the service.

If you have recently moved into the area and would like further information regarding the chapel or our services in Nerja do not hesitate to contact Fr Nigel.

The fact that there are no Anglican services in the chapel at present does not mean that we shall not return there in the future.
