St John The Evangelist, Montreux

St. John’s at Territet is an English-speaking Anglican community in the very heart of the Swiss Riviera. In sight of the chateau de Chillon, Territet is a place of history; it lies on the pilgrim’s path to Rome so here must have passed the four-year-old Alfred the Great and, two hundred years later, even King Canute, on the way to the alpine pass into Italy.

Every Sunday, we joyfully celebrate the Sung Eucharist in a church renowned for its architectural beauty, its exceptional acoustics, the choir and for the musical accompaniment of one of the rarest organs in Switzerland, now fast approaching 150 years of age.

All are welcome to join us to feel the goodness of God in prayer and in our journey of learning in getting to know Jesus Christ.
