Harvest Festival | 23 October 2026

St Weonards Church
St Weonard's Church, St Weonards, Hereford, HR2 8NU, United Kingdom

All very welcome to our annual Harvest Festival service in church, followed by supper in the Village Hall.

This is a great opportunity for our whole community to come together to reflect on the farming year, to give thanks for the harvest and our farmers, and remember in our prayers those who face difficulties or struggles due to crop loss or livestock disease, financial pressures, isolation, and long working hours.

We'll be thinking about the vital support offered by local charity We Are Farming Minds.

Please note we won't be live-streaming this event.

St Weonards Church

St Weonards is an active Anglican church situated in a beautiful part of south-west Herefordshire.

Archenfield benefice includes the parishes of Garway, Orcop, St Weonards, Tretire with Michaelchurch and Pencoyd, and Hentland and Hoarwithy. We form part of the church in the deanery of Ross & Archenfield in the Diocese of Hereford.

In each of our parishes, you'll find church members actively supporting and caring for those around them, and contributing in many ways to the life of our local communities.

Visitors are most welcome to visit our beautiful grade 1 listed church, which is open during the day, and of course to join us for mid-week or Sunday services.

Please visit our website https://archenfieldbenefice.org.uk/churches/st-weonards--st-weonard for more information.

As a church, as part of our witness, we 'strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth' (5th mark of mission).  We achieved an Eco Church bronze award in 2020 and look forward to further progress in this vital area.

Safeguarding

Our parish of St Weonards is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Hereford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact Amanda Johnson (PSO), or Lisa Anderson (Diocesan Safeguarding Officer). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
