William Tynedale translated and published the Bible into English 500 years ago. He defied the church whil only allowed Bible readings and services to be in Latin. It was an offence to translate and recite, even the "Pater Nostra" (the Lord's Prayer) into English.
He escaped to work abroad, and 6,000 New Testamens were smuggled into England.

Holy Trinity

Welcome to our beautiful Church, Holy Trinity. Our tower is the highest point in Exmouth and can be seen from across the estuary. We are one of three Churches in the Mission Community of Littleham-cum-Exmouth with Lympstone. Sunday morning services start at 10.00 am, visitors are always welcomed and invited to join us in fellowship in the upstairs Hall afterwards (there is a lift). The Church is Cathedral-like inside, with acoustics perfect for the many concerts held throughout the year.  We are blessed to have a gifted Director of Music, Paul Stock, an accomplished organist and choirmaster. Our experienced clergy are honoured to provide personally tailored Weddings, Baptisms and Funeral services for those important life events. The Parish Office is open every weekday and our administrator is happy to help with any queries.
