About Us

St. John's is a welcoming family of all ages, aiming to share God's love with our community. We use a variety of styles of worship, reverent, relaxed and relevant. We hope that you will find here a spiritual home for offering worship to God and support and encouragement to grow in your Christian faith.

We particularly value our links with Tipton's Church of England Primary School, and seek ways to develop our ministry and outreach to children. Lay ministry is an important part of our life together and we encourage our members to discern and use their gifts.

The parish also includes St. Gregory's Church in Venn Ottery, where we hold services for Harvest thanksgiving, just before Christmas, at Easter, and normally one in the summer months.

A small, friendly, informal group of people from the whole parish meet most weeks (on Thursday evenings) for fellowship, Bible study and discussion and prayer. We always welcome newcomers and you don't have to commit to attending every week.
