Those who came were treated to the usual high standard of our infamous bookstall and the cake stall sold out! Among the other stalls we had plants, bric-a-brac and jewellery, and we also had children’s games and a well-stocked toy stall. A BBQ and teas kept us all fed and watered and the outstanding musical entertainment supplied by Wonky Buzzard, a village band, provided a beautiful soundtrack to a great day of bringing the community together for the benefit of church funds. Just under £5,000 was raised which will be a big help in covering the day-to-day running expenses for Tipton & Venn Ottery Churches for another year.
