Service of Remembrance

for 1 hour, 15 mins
St John the Evangelist
Unnamed road Tipton St. John Exeter, EX10 0AG, United Kingdom

We will observe the 2 minutes' silence at 11 am and the usual commemorative words. The service, including hymns, will be suitably reflective of remembering those who gave their lives for their country in times of conflict, particularly the local servicemen named on the remembrance plaque in church and in the War Commission grave in our churchyard. We will probably share Holy Communion as part of the service.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Tipton St John with Venn Ottery is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Exeter’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [Jenny Parkin. Phone 01404 811720] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [https://exeter.anglican.org/resources/safeguarding/safeguarding-team/]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.

If you are a young person and you feel unhappy about something happening to you, you can call Childline on 0800 11 11.
