Church of England Diocese of Exeter Sidmouth

Sidmouth Parish Church

At, Sidmouth Parish Church on the Heritage Coast of East Devon, we welcome many visitors to the town as well as serving the local community in regular worship and special civic occasions. We are part of the Sid Valley Mission Community where different traditions work together in mission and ministry. The building largely dates from 1860, but retains a 15th century tower, featuring the beautiful west window given by Queen Victoria as a memorial to her father. Recent excavations to put in a new floor revealed the foundations of an earlier 12th century church. The aim of our Mission Community is to know Christ and make him known. Do come and join us for worship. For more information follow the link to our website

The parish of Sidmouth is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Exeter’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
