Accessibility
When open Wickham Hall has toilet facilities including accessible toilets. When the hall is closed toilets can be found nearby at the Cricket field on Ashburton Road.
Wickham Hall is open during service times and also when activities are taking place within the hall throughout the week.
Baby changing facilities are available in Wickham Hall opposite the Church.
Bike racks are available outside Wickham Hall.
On-street parking is outside the Church on both Newton Road and Ashburton Road.
Accessible toilet is available in Wickham Hall opposite the Church.
Our Building
All of the windows in St John's Church have stained glass of the highest quality.
St John's Church is open for private prayer and to visitors from 10am until 4pm from Monday to Saturday.
St John's Church is a Grade 2* listed building.
Music and Worship
Occasional concerts will be advertised on the events page.
Music is an integral part of Sunday Masses at St John's. We are very fortunate to have an experienced and accomplished organist and Cantor with us each week.
Groups, Courses and Activities
A coffee morning takes place in the Church every Saturday (apart from the 3rd Saturday in the month when refreshments are served during the Table Top Sale in Wickham Hall.) from 10am until 12 noon. All are welcome.
Help for Visitors
St John's is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for prayer and quiet reflection from Monday to Saturday.
Visitors are welcome to light candles as a means of prayer.
Other Features
St John's Church is committed to supporting THAT (Teignbridge Homeless Action Today) Foodbank. Any donations of food/toiletries are very much appreciated and can be left at the back of the Church.
The Churchyard has been developed within the last couple of years in line with aims of Exeter Diocese as a wildlife area, with an increasing diversity of flora and fauna. You are very welcome to look around the Churchyard, but please be careful as the ground may be uneven in places. Dogs should be kept on a lead, thank you.
Wickham Hall is available for hire, and is sited opposite St John's Church on Ashburton Road in Bovey Tracey.
It has recently been fully refurbished with modern facilities, including Wi-Fi access.
