Church of England Diocese of Exeter Newton Abbot

Abbotsbury Church (St Mary the Virgin)

UPDATE:  From November 1st the Abbotsbury will be hosting an interactive, informal worship service at 9.30am each Sunday.  See the benefice website for further detail of this and other changes to services at our churches.

During the current restrictions in place to prevent the spread of corona virus, Abbotsbury is being used for worship by the congregations of St Pauls, Wolborough and Highweek churches.  The 11am Sunday service of holy communion is livestreamed on facebook and You Tube (see Benefice website for full details) as well as being open to all.  Please note face coverings are now mandatory in churches, and you will be asked to leave details for Track and Trace purposes.

"The parish of Newton Abbot is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Exeter’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
