It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of The Duke of Edinburgh, His Royal Highness Prince Philip. We will be saying special prayers during our service at 10.30am on Sunday and here is a prayer for the Duke of Edinburgh you can say at home (click on the download link beside this article). Anyone is welcome to church to join us (opening times and service details below). Holy Week is the most profound season in the Christian Year, during it we experience the greatest sorrows and greatest joys of our faith. Things will be very different this year; we rejoice that, unlike last year, we are allowed in our buildings, but we lament that things are still disrupted. In the 2000 years since Holy Week itself there have been countless plagues and natural disasters not to mention the tragedy of war and human conflict. But, as the writer to the Hebrews says, 'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.' Our prayer this Holy Week is that you encounter afresh Jesus, our unchanging Saviour.Wednesday 31st March: Church open to drop in for individual prayerGood Friday (2nd April): Meditation in church led by our Team Rector Rev Stephen YatesEaster Sunday (4th April): Communion Service in church led by our Team Vicar Revd John Gay
