Church of England Diocese of Exeter Staverton with Landscove

About Us

St Matthew's Church, Landscove, welcomes you!

This is a beautiful mid 19th Century church, designed by John Loughborough Pearson, who later became the architect of Truro Cathedral.  It has a pretty Victorian broached spire, rather untypical of the Devon style, and the attractive churchyard is approached through a delightful Grade II listed slate-roof, buttressed lychgate.

Along with the church, the school and Hill House Nursery, Landscove village (including the hamlets of Memory Cross, Barkingdon, Beara, Woolston Green, Gullaford, Blacker Barton and Thornecroft) is a thriving community.

The service pattern varies from week to week, so please click on the Services and Events tab for details.

We are part of the Dart and Avon Mission Community, which also includes:
    St Luke's, Buckfastleigh
    St Paul de Leon, Staverton
    St John the Baptist, Littlehempston
