On the 2nd & 4th Sundays, our 10am service usually includes Communion. We are glad to be back to worshipping with singing fully restored in our services. A traditional language 'said' communion service based on the Book of Common Prayer. There is usually a psalm used between the readings and a short homily after the Gospel. Whilst there is still a presence of Covid in our community, the priest leading worship will deliver a pre-intincted wafer into your hands, via tweezer/tongs as we share wine from the common cup.

A more informal communion service led by the music group - there may be specially created activities during the sermon and prayers. Gluten-free communion available on request. Informal worship (Service of the Word) led by a music group and usually engaging the children if present as well as the adults. There will be communion if the date is a major church festival (e.g. Easter). On some occasions our informal worship is also changed to fit in with services as Harvest, Remembrance, Mothering Sunday etc. Refreshment are served after this service. Occasionally ,if there are only very young children present, the talk will be slightly extended to suit adults more - service time increases to just over the hour.

When not a major festival, our 10am service re-introduces in 2023 a communion service on fifth Sundays, with prayer for healing. This may include also anointing and 'laying on of hands', if wished. This ministry will usually take place at the rail after communion, close to the end of the service, so others can leave during the last hymn if they wish. You are welcome to stay seated to join your prayers with those ministering, or participate in some quiet singing or listening to some music. Currently we retain receiving communion at the altar rail by pre-intincted wafers (as variants of Coronavirus are still prevalent in the wider community).
