Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
If you have a concern about the safety of someone or the actions of someone working with children or vulnerable adults, please speak to a Churchwarden, Member of the Clergy or to our Safeguarding Representative, whose details are displayed in the porch of each church and in our monthly Newsletter.
· Our Benefice Safeguarding Representative is Val Letheren

If you are a young person and you feel unhappy about something happening to you, you can call Childline on 0800 11 11.”
"The parish of Black Torrington is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Exeter’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
If you need to contact the Parish Safeguarding Representative please contact the Priest in Charge, Revd Stephen Skinner on 01237 431622 or [email protected]
