Celebration of 150th Anniversary of Barbrook

2025 is the 150th Anniversary of the opening of St Bartholomew’s, Barbrook.

St Bartholomew's was built in 1875 to provide an alternative place of worship to the Wesleyan

chapel, for the people of Barbrook Mill, a community built around the sawmill.

It was built as a "Mission" Church of St Mary the Virgin, Lynton.

An afternoon of celebration has been organised, Sunday 24th August, culminating in a Holy Communion Service:-

 4pm Cream Teas plus cake in the Village Hall
