About Us

A small but dedicated congregation worship here twice a month. We support community events and welcome all who wish to worship with us or visit the church. The church is a part of the Shirwell Mission Community of churches.

The church is situated to the north of the village and is dedicated to St Michael and all Angels. it is a Grade II* listed building over 700 years old. Little remains of the original church – just the bases of pillars in the nave and piscina in the south wall of the chancel.

The church is small, with seating for 65 people, consisting of nave, chancel, north aisle and tower with a peal of six bells.

Sunday services are in traditional language using The Book of Common Prayer.

Whilst there is no formal ecumenical partnership, United Carol Services are held alternatively in the Parish and Methodist Churches. The two congregations come together on Remembrance Sunday and attend each other’s Harvest Festivals.
