A Brief History of Our Church

There has been a church in Bishops Nympton parish since the thirteenth century. The church is a large with a dramatically tall west tower and has been described in the text of Britain’s Listed Buildings as ‘one of the stateliest of North Devon’. The church tower of St Mary’s is dated from the 15th century and the building contains a 12th century Norman baptismal font.
