A brief history of the Church of St Mary

The nave and the tower of the church are fifteenth century in age and replaced an earlier building, the north aisle being added in the sixteenth. The font is Norman (twelfth century) and is the only surviving part of the earlier church. One of the main features of the church are the box pews, 44 of them with their individual doors which date from the 1740s.
