Yarnscombe is most easily approached (and is signposted) from either the A377 Barnstaple to Exeter road (opposite Chapelton railway station) or the B3232 Barnstaple to Great Torrington road (just north of Huntshaw Cross). There is also a narrow, steep and winding road in from the B3227 Great Torrington to Umberleigh road.
From the centre of the village, almost opposite the old telephone box (now a book borrowing service), there is a road up to the church, which is clearly visible, with a small car park at the far end of the churchyard.
Please note: although the church's postcode is EX31 3LB, it cannot be accessed by road using this postcode. Rather, use EX31 3LW.
