Please see below for details of a public consultation. This has been shared on the noticeboard at Church and also at the parish hall. *PUBLIC CONSULTATION* The Vicar and Churchwardens of All Saints Church, Sparkwell are the trustees of the charitable trust governing the former Sparkwell School (known as the Old School, Sparkwell). The charity was established in 1951 with charitable objects to use the Old School as a primary school for the education of the children residing with a distance of 5 miles from the building. The Old School has been closed for over two years and is no longer viable for use as a primary school, particularly as another primary school now exists within the village of Sparkwell. The trustees are therefore proposing to amend the charitable objects of the Old School, Sparkwell, to enable them to sell the property and use the proceeds of sale for educational purposes for the benefit of the community of Sparkwell village, and for other needs of the community that may arise. The trustees believe that now is an appropriate time to review the existing charitable trusts and consider how the charity can best serve the community in the years ahead. The trustees invite local residents and interested parties to participate in a consultation regarding the proposals. Comments should be sent by email to: [email protected] or by post to All Saints Church, The Rowe Hall, Sparkwell, PL7 5DB All comments should be received by Monday 16th November 2026. Date: 21st October 2026
