Music and Worship

We have a ring of six bells and a thriving team of ringers.

A separate charitable trust St Mary's Community Trust stages musical events such as rock concerts in the church, in front of the church and in the adjacent playing field. We also love to have visiting choirs. The Aber Valley Male Voice Choir from South Wales has performed here many times.

In its lifetime, the church has had its organ in three different locations. We'll probably stop moving it around now. It is regarded by local players as one of the finest in the area.

Groups, Courses and Activities

We have a small, friendly bible study group which meets roughly twice a month. Get in touch if you would like to join us.

Our pop-up cafe is available at all times for visitors to make themselves a hot drink. On Saturday mornings (10 to 12) we have a regular coffee morning crowd who get their drinks made for them and tasty things to dunk or nibble. Why not come along?

Help for Visitors

We have tea and coffee making facilities. Help yourself (and maybe leave a donation if you can).

We are open every day from 9am until 5pm (or dusk in winter).

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Other Features

WE have a food bank collection point. If you are unable to drop your donations at a supermarket drop point (e.g. Sainsburys in Sherborne), you can leave them here and we will ensure they get to the food bank.
