About Us

St Osmund's Church is a part of The Ridgeway team of churches.

Everyone, of any denomination, is most welcome at our services of worship.  There are always people at the door to greet you and provide you with a service sheet and hymn book.

The Church community is here to support anyone in need – spiritual, emotional, physical, financial – to the best of its ability, irrespective of whether they are a member of the congregation or not.   There are groups that provide support and teaching within the benefice, and regular social contact and conversation is a feature of St. Osmund’s Lunch Club.   In the wider world, members of the congregation have taken part in the Make Poverty History campaign.  We support the Lantern Centre in Weymouth (which offers help for the homeless and marginalized) both financially and as volunteers – items left after the annual fete have gone to the Lantern Charity Shop.  We have been campaigning on climate change for some years and we have registered as an “ecocongregation”
