A Common Worship service
A morning worship service, with choir and organ
Compline is also known as Night Prayer
It is an ancient service of quietness and reflection
It lasts about half an hour
"a service of quietness and reflection before rest at the end of the day"
A brief and gentle service of worship for the whole of Shaftesbury's Team of churches
Join us for a service of Holy Communion, with organ and choir - and with hymns old and new. We use the Common Worship service book.
On fifth Sundays we worship together in one of our benefice churches
Join us to sing favourite hymns and Christian songs with St Peter's musicians in an informal setting.
2026 - 27th April, 25th May, 22nd June, 27th July, 24th August, 28th September, 26th October, 23rd November.
We then have a rest until 2027!

An invitation to Shaftesbury men to join us in St Peter's church hall (top of Gold Hill) - meeting in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying fellowship and discussion for about half an hour. We then adjourn to the nearby Salt Cellar for a congenial breakfast. Booking not needed - just come along. Next ones - 5th September (NB. - 1st Sat in month), 10th October, 7th November
