About Us

St. Mary's Church is one of a group of 7 churches called the Stour Vale Benefice which covers Buckhorn Weston, East Stour, Fifehead Magdalen, Kington Magna, Stour Provost, Todber and West Stour.

St Mary’s Church stands on a slight hill at the end of Church Street overlooking the village. Dating in part to the 13th Century with one of the three bells, cast before 1500, listed as being of ‘special historic interest’. It has a gallery which is used to great effect at Easter and Christmas and weddings, when a good view of the proceedings can be seen.

The Church is a small but welcoming place and is lovingly cared for throughout the year and hosts a weekly service of Morning Prayer. It occupies a central place in the spiritual and social life of the village and attracts many visitors throughout the year.
