Walk in Wednesday takes place every Wednesday at St Mary’s Church Beaminster at 11am – 12.30pm. Everyone is welcome.

Eight years ago we began a new project called Walk in Wednesday. It was designed to be a drop in café in church. A place where anyone could pop in, enjoy a drink, and something to eat, and meet people to chat to.

We aspired to be a place of welcome and hospitality.

After an 18 month pandemic break Walk in Wednesday has returned. We are smaller and shorter, open 11am – 12.30pm, serving only drinks and biscuits. But we are still welcoming, still inclusive, and still hoping you will pop in for a chat.

All ages are welcome, we have toys available for our younger guests, and feel free to bring your knitting or craft project to work on. We also have an art table to join in with and a folk music group who encourage anyone to play along.

Our 10am communion service continues too – meeting every week for a said service of communion using Common Worship. Those who come to communion are welcome to stay afterwards for coffee and conversation.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Messy Church

Welcome back to the Baby and Toddler group at St Mary’s Church in Beaminster. It runs on Monday mornings, 10-11:30am inside the church.

We’re meeting most Mondays. We just take breaks for school and public holidays.

You do not need to book, just turn up at St Mary’s Church Beaminster at 10am on a Monday.

We have free play, a baby area, sometimes a craft activity, refreshments for parents. and end each session with a story and singing. Sometimes our stories are from the bible and other times they are not.

We always close with a short prayer.

We welcome carers, and children aged 0-4.

Do get in touch with Jo, [email protected] for more information.
