Church of England Diocese of Salisbury Shapwick

About Us

St Bartholomew's church, in the beautiful village of Shapwick, is a gem!  Dating back to the 13th-century it exudes a real feeling of timeless spirituality,  one can sense the long history of worship in this place.  The village of Shapwick, with its thatched cottages and quiet lanes, is well worth a visit.  The church is a great setting for concerts and weddings, and Bishops Court Farm, next door, offers a stunning venue for receptions.

St Bartholomew's is part of the BRIDGE BENEFICE - a group of three parishes which also includes St Mary's, Sturminster Marshall and St Stephen's, Kingston Lacy/Pamphill. The Bridge Benefice has close links with our neighbouring Lower Stour Benefice (also a group of three parishes).
