The Chalke Valley Benefice Lent Project 2026 is raising money to support the work of The Bridge Youth Project Salisbury.
It is hoped to raise sufficient monies to fund a school chaplain at Longford Primary School for half a day a week for two years.
Susan Majury has very kindly offered to host a series of Lent Lunches as part of the fundraising events throughout the benefice.

Following on from our successful Alpha Course Introductory Supper, the course commences on Thursday 22 January, continuing through until Thursday 19 March.

Come along to explore aspects of faith with others from our community.

Open to all and free of charge and judgement.

A time for reflection and study with your friends and neighbours

Wellspring is a midweek morning meeting of people who enjoy being part of an informal Christian community. It’s a place where faith grows, where deep friendships are formed, and the ups and downs of life can be shared.

We aim to provide a sociable and relaxed morning with members coming from different denominations and different villages up and down the Chalke Valley. Includes sung worship, a Christian speaker, and a half hour coffee and cake break with a lot of chatting!.

If you’d like to try us out, just turn up on any of the following dates this term - we'd love to meet you.

Lee Abbey is set on the spectacular North Devon Coast, in the Exmoor National Park. It is a Christian Community which provides retreats and holidays in a Christian setting. Each year, the Chalke Valley Benefice arranges a weekend away at this beautiful place. You are most welcome to join us.

This is an opportunity to see your old friends and meet some new ones, a happy, fun and inclusive atmosphere, good food, stunning scenery and a chance to think about faith. You can be as involved in all the activities as you wish or just take the opportunity to relax and be with friends.

We welcome everyone - and it is for all the family - some families come with three generations. So invite your friends and family, and let’s make this our 15th year a very special weekend. We are hoping to have 110 people in the main house.
