Holy Communion for Ash Wednesday with imposition of ashes.
A team service to mark the start of Lent.

Ash Wednesday marks the start of the season of Lent, a penitential season when we prepare ourselves for the great celebration of Easter. Traditionally, we gather to share in Holy Communion and to receive the sign of the cross in ash on our foreheads.
We use the words: Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return. Turn away from sin and be faithful to Christ.

There will be two services this year: one at Chantry Court, Chantry Lane at 11.00 am and one in the evening at All Saints at 7.00 pm. All welcome.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Dilton Marsh is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Salisbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Yvette Cooper Dilton ([email protected]) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
