Facilities and features

Accessibility

There are two well appointed toilets to the rear of the church, under the Tower, one of which is for Disabled use.

We have a dedicated baby changing table and mat within the righthand accessible toilet, at the rear of the church, under the Tower.

We usually have several large print service books available, at the front door

Assitance dogs are very welcome

We have good wheelchair access to the church via the West Door, through the Tower, and there is a slight ramp leading to the tea and coffee area. Communion is brought to those in the pews who would like it but who are unable to reach the Altar rail, our vergers are excellent at facilitating this.

Music and Worship

We have a wonderful peal of 8 bells and a dedicated guild of ringers, with our own excellent Tower captain and assistant Captain living in Mere.

The church has two organs - a small 14 stop two manual pipe organ, which is only occasionally used, and a larger scale 54 stop 3 manual Makin digital organ which was at one time installed in the Chapel of St John's College Cambridge.
