Safeguarding

Our parish of Mere: St Michael the Archangel is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults.
We follow the House of Bishop's guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(PSO).
The Diocese of Salisbury’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSO.
If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Yvonne Portch, by emailing [email protected], or by calling 07841 016282.
You can also contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor via email at [email protected] or by calling 01722 438651, to speak to a member of the Safeguarding Team.
If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police on 999 and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
