This is to remind everyone that if you have a role in your church eg, as sidesperson or welcomer, serving refreshments, or supporting activities involving children and young people or vulnerable adults, you are required to undertake Safeguarding training at basic and foundation level. This has to be refreshed every three years as the training is updated. The training can be completed online and to gain access to the course, please consult with your Parish Safeguarding Officer. Occasionally, courses are also available to do in person, either locally or in the Deanery and we will advertise these when they are available. If you’re not sure, please ask your Parish Safeguarding Officer: Jenny Wray-Bliss in Westbury and Yvette Croft in Dilton Marsh. Their contact details are available in your local church.Thank you very much.Rebecca

We were delighted to present three candidates for confirmation at Salisbury Cathedral on Saturday 2 November.Three young people: Amelia Gurke (age 12) and two young adults, Amy and Kieran. There were 49 candidates in total at the service from all over the Diocese. It was a powerful and moving service which took place in three parts of the building: at the west end for the presentation; at the font where some candidates were baptised and at the chancel where the confirmation itself took place. Bishop Andrew was the presiding Bishop and the honorary Bishop Robert Atwell also took part. We continue to pray for our three candidates as they find their places in our church community at All Saints. Congratulations to them all! Photo of Amelia
