At this time of year we mark the Commemoration of the Faithful Departed – also known as All Souls Day – remembering people who are important to us who have died, especially over the last year but also those who have died longer ago.
If you think this would be helpful to you, please come along to the service, you will be very welcome. Tea and coffee will be served afterwards to allow people time to talk.

Welcome to our Church!

This Grade II* listed building and its churchyard are places of beauty. There has been a church on this site at least from the time of the first recorded Rector in 1326. By 1400 AD the church, dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, was rebuilt and all that remains of the 15th Century building is the tower. In 1833, the church was re-dedicated to St Matthew. The south and north aisles were added in 1860, and in 1871 a new north porch was added. ​

St Matthews is also open every day from 10am to 4pm.  Do come and visit us.
