Message from Fr Jeremy Blunden 9 January 2021

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ

As you are aware, we are keen to maintain public worship at St George’s for as long as it is safe to do so. We received further advice from Bishop James last night, in light of the declaration of a major incident across London, by the Mayor of London. The PCC met (virtually) this morning and agreed, reluctantly, to petition the Bishop to suspend public worship for the time being. St George’s Church will be closed for public worship from Sunday 10 January 2021. We will remain open for private prayer during the week — subject to further directives and staff safety considerations. Our worship will move back to full online status, however, due to the limited time available for Sunday 10 January there will only be resources for Reflection and Spiritual Communion with links to Church of England services and Rochester Cathedral services. In the meantime, please join with me in praying for all who are anxious, lonely, or unwell. With love and prayers Fr Jeremy
