A toilet is available at the back of the church
Spaces are available within the parking area at the front of the church.
There is very limited parking (4 spaces). These are available for people with reduced mobility.
Large print copies of Common Worship are available for those who require them.
Music and Worship
Concerts given by a variety of musical groups occur on a regular basis.
The church has a fine three manual instrument used to support the choir and congregation and choir in worship. It is available when the church is hired as a concert venue.
Common Worship Order 2 (Book of Common Prayer equivalent) is used primarily at 8.00am Holy Communion every Sunday. BCP is used at 6.30pm Choral or Sung Evensong services.
The 30+ mixed adult and junior choir supports the congregation at the 10.00AM Sung Eucharist every Sunday. Choral or Sung Evensong are sung on the first and fourth Sundays of the month.
Groups, Courses and Activities
Junior (Y7 - Y10) and Senior (Y11 - 13) Youth Groups meet on Sunday mornings. These groups also participate in monthly meetings of Bromley Youthnet, a monthly meeting of similar groups from other local churches.
There are Home Groups that meet on a regular basis to study the bible or other appropriate texts.
1st Bromley Brownies are affiliated with the church and join for Parade and other services.
Services, such as Songs of Praise, Hymns & Pimms and CarolSinging with mulled wine & mince pies are held in the Church Garden.
St Mark's is actively involved in supporting Bromley Debt Centre.
St Mark's provides volunteers that work with Bromley Homeless Shelter by cooking meals and sleeping over within the shelter. Member of the congregation also support the LATCH scheme for young homeless people by providing a spare room in their homes.
In addition to volunteer support for Bromley Homeless Shelter a box is available at the back of the church for donations to the Starter Pack scheme for those who are able to move into their own accommodation.
We collect for the Starter Pack scheme to provide basic necessities for those moving from hostels and other facilities for the homeless into their own accommodation. The church provides teams to cook meals when the Bromley Homeless Shelter is open as well as volunteers to supervise overnights. Members of the congregation host young people in spare rooms in their homes as part of the LATCH scheme.
Help for Visitors
A leaflet giving the history of the church is available in the Porch. There is also other material available about certain features of the building.
There is a small display of religious books which may be borrowed located in the South Aisle.
On weekdays the church is open from 9.00AM to 6.00PM. On Sundays it is open from 8.00AM until the end of the evening service.
A monthly Sunday Traidcraft stall is held.
Collections are made to support Bromley Foodbank.
In addition to the church being available for hire as a concert or meeting venue we have a church room with a capacity of 70-80 people. It is popular with a variety of groups. Details of cost and availability can be obtained by emailing : [email protected]
