Church of England Diocese of Rochester The Annunciation, Chislehurst

Church of the Annunciation, Chislehurst

We are the parish church for West Chislehurst in the London Borough of Bromley, offering traditional worship, an inspiring building, and a warm welcome. We are well served by public transport, with buses 61, 160, 161, 162 and 273 all passing nearby. For those unable to attend in person, we continue to record one midweek service, which is available on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Our main Sunday service at 10.00am is the Mass (also called Holy Communion or the Eucharist), which is offered with the assistance of organ, choir and altar servers. Children's resources are available at this service. There is also an earlier, quieter service at 8.00am in the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer, and Mass is celebrated throughout the week at different times each day. There is a weekly Thursday Coffee Morning in church at which all are welcome.

Latest news, including Sunday notice sheets and recent sermons, can be found on our Facebook page. For enquiries about baptisms, weddings or other special events please contact us using the link at left.

Safeguarding

The parish of The Annunciation is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Rochester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services. A copy of our own policy with contact details may be found by clicking on the appropriate tab on the left.
