Music and Worship

Organ

The Book of Common Prayer was first published in 1549 and contained all the services of the Church of England and the prayers and tables of readings to support them. It has undergone revision but is still written in "traditional" language and much loved by many people.

Every second Sunday of the month, at 08:00 hours, we have a Communion service using the Book of Common Prayer. On the fourth Wednesday of every month, at 09:30 hours, we have a similar service. These are both said services, that means there is no music. Following the Wednesday service we serve tea, coffee, biscuits and sometimes cake!! (You do not have to come to the service to share the tea and biscuits.......)
