St. Mary’s is a Church of England church in Wrotham Rd, Gravesend. Since 1938 we have been serving our local community and worshiping God in this place.

Our Vision: Growing together

We seek to be a church where all are gathered into the love of God, built up as disciples of Jesus, and sent out to serve with faith, hope and love.

We believe that God’s love is wider than we can imagine. St Mary’s is a place where people of all ages, backgrounds and stories are invited to come as they are, to find welcome, friendship and belonging, and to discover the grace of God at work in their lives. Whether you are new to church, returning after time away, exploring faith, or looking for a spiritual home, there is a place for you here.

Growing together also means being formed together. Through worship, prayer, scripture, music, dancing, play, learning, children’s work, pastoral care and shared life, we want to help one another become more faithful disciples of Jesus. None of us grows alone. We grow as we listen, serve, forgive, encourage, question, and learn to follow Christ more deeply.

And gathering is never the end of the story. God sends us out to love and serve our neighbours, to seek the good of Gravesend, and to live with faith, hope and love in our homes, workplaces, schools and community. Our prayer is that St Mary’s will be now and in the future a church where people are welcomed, faith is nurtured, and lives are shaped for the service of God and the world.
