St. Michael's Church, Cuxton celebrated another successful Eco Church event during Love Your Burial Ground Week / Churches Count on Nature with a wildlife count. Volunteers came together to discover and record the wonderful wildlife found in our churchyard, joining hundreds of church communities across the country in celebrating and monitoring the rich biodiversity of these special places. Last year alone, more than 6,000 participants submitted an impressive 8,668 wildlife records, making a valuable contribution to our understanding of churchyard habitats. This inspiring initiative is run by Caring for God's Acre, A Rocha UK, the Church of England and the Church in Wales. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped care for God's creation—we look forward to joining in again next year!
