The Peninsula Big band is a 15 piece traditional big band formed in 2007 with a blend of professional and experienced regular players who all love the big band style. They play an extensive range of music from the great band leaders such as Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, and Count Basie to arrangements of more modern music such as the Beatles, Sade, Michael Jackson and The Average white band. So should you wish to experience a feel good factor of big band music in the beautiful historic church of St. John's Halling then the Peninsula Big Band is just what you are looking for.

A Sunday daytime event in the recreation ground, from 12 - 6pm, with stalls, games, food and live music.
Fresh Expressions will host a Tombola stall with a selection of exciting items to win.
A fresh expression at a church is a simple, welcoming way of doing church in everyday settings, like community events, cafés, or activity groups, designed especially for people who wouldn’t usually attend a traditional service. It focuses on building relationships, sharing faith naturally, and creating a sense of belonging in a relaxed, accessible environment.
