Join us for our weekly bell ringing practice session at St. Michael’s Church, Cuxton, Wednesday evening from 7:00–9:00 pm.
(except the last Wednesday of each month, when practice takes place at St. John’s Church, Halling).
Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced ringer, you’re warmly invited to come along and join our friendly team.
Bell ringing is a fun and social activity that’s great for both physical and mental wellbeing. We’d love to show you the ropes!
So why not give bell ringing a go?
Come along, learn a new skill, and enjoy a welcoming community right here in Cuxton. Chocolate provided!

Safeguarding

Our parish of Cuxton: St Michael & All Angels is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Rochester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Social Care Services.

Our Parish Commitment
Our parish takes safeguarding very seriously. Across Cuxton and Halling:
• 21 people hold an up-to-date DBS check
• PSO has updated Safer Recruitment Training
• 14 have completed Domestic Abuse Training
• 21 have completed Basic Awareness Training
• 21 have completed the higher-level Foundation Training
• And 8 have completed Leadership Training
Parish Safeguarding Dashboard, with 97% progress and on a Level 3 Safeguarding Action Plan.
Safeguarding is a standing item at every PCC meeting, meaning it is always being reviewed and improved.
The Safeguarding Hub supports our Parish with safer Recruitment and People Management.
Our church aims to be welcoming to all, with a warm atmosphere from the moment you arrive.
The building is well maintained, clean, and safe with a range of facilities for all ages and abilities offering reassurance that we care for one another not only spiritually but practically.
