Under the terms of the Ecclesiastical Offices (Age Limit) Measure 1975, not having been granted an extension by the Bishop, the Rev'd Roger Knight was obliged to retire on 30th November 2024, his seventieth birthday. Having been appointed on 2nd January 1987, he is the longest ever serving incumbent of Halling.A Service of Holy Communion was held at St Michael's Cuxton on 11:00 Saturday the 30th November. Everybody was welcome and after the service there were refreshments served in the church hall. In addition to the service and celebration on 30th November, there was a buffet in the White Hart at Cuxton from 12.00 noon on Friday 29th November with an open invitation to everyone.After the 30th November 2024, please contact the churchwardens for any assistance you need.
