At the heart of Fresh Expressions is a desire to engage with people who don't usually attend church, creating opportunities to explore faith, build friendships, and experience God's love in everyday life. Through a wide range of events and activities held throughout the year, we have seen this vision come to life.

Our church is at the heart of the Halling community, and we enjoy bringing people together through a varied programme of social events, music, learning, and fellowship. These have included Tideway Folk Group music afternoons, Peninsula Big Band concerts, Church barn dances at Jubilee Hall, barbecues, Teddy Bear Picnics, Bring and Share lunches, Eco Church gardening initiatives, Tree Festivals, Chess Clubs, Community choir rehearsals and concerts, historical church tours, and free bell-ringing lessons for beginners.

We also organise outings and trips, welcome community groups to Remembrance Day and Christmas Services and encourage people of all ages to become involved in the life of the church. Whether you join us for a concert, a community event, a social gathering, or a service of worship, you can be sure of a warm welcome at St John's.
